This novel was fabulous. I have read the other books in the series about the main character and she is an anomaly... the character development is very rich. I highly recommend this book.
When I came to this book on my nightstand and read the blurb, I couldn't imagine why I had bought it in the first place. When you read descriptions of the plot, it seems, at best, dull.
But the writing is wonderful. And the details, and sense of place, are fantastic. I couldn't put this book down, and you won't be able to either.

it was unnecessarily long, but i am a big fan of wayne johnston, so i read it all anyway
I read this a long time ago, and wanted a copy to keep and share with other readers I think would enjoy it. As a sequel to Colony of Unrequited Dreams, it makes for two very good reads. The author tells it like it is, rather than trying to please the reader with all things pleasant.
Terribly rambling hard to follow "forgeries" took away from sympathy for the protagonist. Unlikeable and unlikely characters. I was glad to finish this book.
The author requires one to ruminate on the complexities of humans and the tendency to self-destruction. Is all the angst necessary?
Not a good read. Very tedious to read and tiring. Never felt like anything was ever resolved. you’re requiring to many words for something that doesn’t deserve them.
